Black-shirted Islamo-fascists marched on Whitechapel Saturday, 25th of October 2025, shouting antisemitic slogans and asking Cable Street Residents whether they wanted a rematch. Was this really the fluffy anti-racist counter protest that it claimed to be, or was it Islamists telling UKIP’s Christians that they couldn’t have their country back?
The Lead Up
UKIP had planned a march on Whitechapel that day, but the police banned them and the UKIP demo was moved further west, out of Tower Hamlets completely. In response there were counter demos in Whitechapel; one by the Left – Stand up to Racism. The event was attended by Jeremy Corbyn and the Mayor of Tower Hamlets, both of whom had previously been effectively sacked by the Labour Party, Corbyn over antisemitism and the mayor over corruption and links to Islamic extremists. The Mayor endorsed the group described below.
A third group of about 150 men (no women) dressed mostly in black, masked and waving Bangladeshi and Palestinian flags, marched around chanting “God is Great and Zionist Scum off our streets.” As the Blackshirts, for want of a better name, marched around Whitechapel they passed the Stand Up to Racism static display. “We are all on the same side, bro.” said a left wing activist, only to be rebuked by a Muslim marcher – “No, we are not.” He said.

Jeremy Corbyn later posted on X: “Inspiring to join people of all faiths and none in Whitechapel today to keep the Jews far right out of the East End. We had a simple message to anyone trying to divide our community: jog on and get lost.”
A Tower Hamlets council spokesperson said: ”Tower Hamlets is a leading example of a world city where people from all backgrounds live in harmony.”
“Asked about the chants, a spokesperson for Keir Starmer said: “The Prime Minister has been very clear on the need to tackle antisemitism. As he has said before, the police already have extensive public order powers to address the incidents you mentioned.” Pressed on why antisemitic chants persist despite calls for action, the spokesperson emphasized the need to respect police operational independence but reiterated that police have the authority to “manage protests and, where there is evidence of antisemitism, tackle it as a matter of urgency.” He added, “We would expect the police to respond robustly.”” – https://www.jewishnews.co.uk/downing-street-urges-police-action-after-chants-of-zionist-scum-off-our-streets-in-tower-hamlets/
“Zionist Scum off our Streets” – Is it antisemitic? Well yes.
Legal Opinion by DAVID WOLFSON QC One Essex Court and JEREMY BRIER Essex Court Chambers – “First, contemporary antisemitism which the Definition is intended to address, does not manifest itself most often in the form of blunt “hatred towards Jews”. In particular, we are aware of recent events where reference to Jews has been made in “coded” but highly derogatory terms such as “Zios………One of the distinct benefits of this approach is that it enables public bodies to “call out” obvious, deliberate antisemitism even where the antisemite has dressed-up his antisemitism in language which does not directly use the word “Jew” or its derivations. It is sufficient that what can be identified is language or behaviour manifesting hatred towards Jews and this must be right.”
The Judiciary College has a handbook, which is provided to all members of the judiciary in England and Wales, contains the full International Definition of Antisemitism, explaining its adoption, as well as a section dedicated to discussion of the use of the words ‘Zionist’ and ‘Zionism’ as slurs, quoting from a report of the House of Commons Home Affairs Committee report which states: “The word ‘Zionist’ (or worse, ‘Zio’) as a term of abuse…has no place in a civilised society.”
